Yankees get Sweep on the O’s

After 2 miserable series against the Orioles and the Tigers, the Yankees were heading to Baltimore for another 3 game series. Injuries have been piling up and people were really starting to speculate the amount of success this team would have. However, after this series, it seems like the Yankees we all know and love have come from the grave.

The Yankees won the first game with a score of 8-4. The big name from this game was Gleyber Torres. Everyone knew someone was going to have to put the team on their back and play an amazing game in order to light a fire under this struggling lineup. Torres went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Paxton struggled early in the game but the offense and bullpen helped him out in a big way.

The second game the Yankees won with a score of 6-4. The offense was once again clicking and finding ways to score. The biggest run however came from Clint Frazier when he blasted a 4”3 run home run to put the Yankees up in the 8th inning. Judge also found a way to wake up his bat as he blasted 2 home runs as well. J.A Happ only gave up 2 runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Once again an overall great team win.

The final game of this series was when the Yankees officially woke up. The final score was 15-3 with run production coming from every part of the lineup. Gary Sanchez blasted 3 home runs in this game which accounted for 6 RBI’s. Frazier continued to contribute as he hit 2 more home runs and on the day went 3 for 4. Domingo Herman had a solid day pitching which helped the Yankees get 3 games out of the series in a much needed sweep of the Orioles. Now, the Yankees will travel to Houston for 3 games.
